“The photographer had me sign a release, which I didn’t fully comprehend,” Olsen recounted. “Despite my discomfort, I didn’t know how to refuse. The photos were later posted on a paid platform and eventually leaked.”
Since first addressing the issue in a July TikTok video, Olsen has received support from many, including Meghan Trainor and her husband, Daryl Sabara. Trainor showed her support by sharing a TikTok video defending Olsen and expressing her love for him.
Olsen, who has 13 million TikTok followers, gained fame in 2020 for his quarantine videos and has since been open about his mental health and past struggles. He also started his acting career with roles in “The Book of Queer” and “Mean Girls.”
In August, Olsen reflected on his experience and the impact it has had on him. He acknowledged that although he never explicitly said no to participating in the videos, he hoped his request to stop their circulation would be honored. “I’m in the process of forgiving myself and hope you can try to forgive me too,” he added.
Meghan Trainor’s support highlights the deep friendship between her and Olsen, who have collaborated on various projects and share a strong personal bond.
